05 Feb “Day Zero” – 11th May 2018 and beyond
Thanks to the amazing Cape Town residents and the City Council, Team Cape Town as they like to call themselves, the dreaded “Day Zero” has been pushed back to the 11th May 2018.
This means that water will be flowing from our taps until this day, which thankfully falls in the beginning of our rainy season and which probably means “Day Zero” will never come, especially if we remain as aware as we have until now.
In order to keep the dreaded date moving away from us, water consumption still has to be very closely managed and all residents and tourists will need to be as water conscious as they can be.
The great news though – business as usual in Cape Town!
