13 Aug Warming Hearts
After a few delays in getting our squares together and then our blankets made up, we finally had them all ready to deliver to Hokisa. Thank you so much to Tony Petersen Film, Cake Films, Satellite My Love and Little Fish London for partaking in this venture. Look how beautifully they turned out!
HOKISA was the charity we chose for the blanket donation. This is a children’s home situated in Masiphumelele township in Kommetjie, Cape Town. At the moment they have 20 children living with HIV and they range from 3 months to 17 years. For more information on Hokisa, please visit their website ( www.hokisa.co.za ) or their Facebook page.
Each blanket was personalised for each child and was very well received by all the kids. There was much excitement all round.
To dear Toni and Shireen
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!
Without doubt, our HOKISA kids have the coolest blankets I have seen, maybe ever!
I was so touched by the personal effort and care put in for each and every child – what an amazing idea, but of course driven by 2 power women!
The art work on each is incredible and the embroidery makes it all unique and special for each child!
I must say I was a bit jealous and will have even more reason to snuggle with the kids on movie nights 🙂
Thanks again and xxxx to both of you!
It was great to see you both after so many years!
